1 KG RULE

This is the official I kg rule for all Masters events effective May 1, 2005.

The current disc collars for 25, 20, 15, 10, and 5.0 kg discs are the same as before.

The new discs will be:

       2.5 kg = red
       2.0 kg = blue
       1.0 kg = green
       0.5 kg = white

The minimum loading of the bar for men is: 26.0 kg or 20 kg bar + 2 collars (2.5 kg each) + 2 discs of 0.5 kg each.

The minimum loading of the bar for women is: 21.0 kg or 15 kg bar + 2 collars (2.5 kg each) + 2 discs of 0.5 kg each.

There will be no loading that ends in 0.5 kg, that includes records. In other words, you no longer use 0.25 kg discs to break records by 0.5 kg.

All records must be broken by a minimum of 1.0 kg.

The automatic increase after a successful attempts is 1.0 kg.
